The Land of Gauguin

The association AVA, Living Artists of Aven, had established an open-air exhibition, throughout the town of Pont Aven, of 21 monumental sculptures by artists from all edges. Some were Brittany, certainly, but others such as David Light, Stéphane Carel, Sherki or Zoabuc came from afar.

This morning, I heard from David Léger, at the close of this great exhibition, David Light, ranked among the best, had received the second prize of Sculpt'Art awarded by the Tourist Office, in the person of Jean Marc Tanguy, for his sculpture,” Silhouette”. ( See Shown against)

Here now 3 the age that this event happened which made it possible to learn more than a dozen artists to some 350 000 Visitors Pont Aven and its surroundings.

Zoabuc, who had received the Audience Award, will participate in the International Symposium of Sculpture at Mill Buding, LE matière du Festival 25 August 2013 au 1er Septembre 2013

Gerard Del'Aune participated in within “Friends of Art” Nantes-Expo 2012 the sculpture exhibition at the International Fair Nantes. The bird is finally back on Pont Aven, restored after all the problems and the insults he had suffered.

Ronan Suignard exhibited his work at the Domaine du Fot, Saint-Laurent, Bégard in the Côtes d'Armor. A new Sculpture Park was inaugurated on 9 June 1 2012, there continually exposes a set of sculpted works .

Yves Donval continues his pictorial works and installations. 2012 saw the Grand Rendez-vous, Table II of the birth of a new world. He accompanied a story (Collection Spermatos) créé conjointement avec Sylvie Robin et d’un CD Audio, second work transforming the first, and totally collective : no less than 20 people Pont Aven or its environs participated in this creation which Brieuc Caouissin et Gwenn Walleye
